A One-Day Workshop | Kit provided

 

This is a painting and quilting class. Almost everything you need to paint and quilt this 14” x 18” painting is included in your class fee

 

Kit includes: paint, a paint brush, one fat quart size piece of prepared 100% silk broadcloth, full size pattern, erasable pen for tracing pattern on fabric, soymilk needed to fix the paint, paint surface and Tidy Pins a disposable Paint palette, soy milk dispenser and Wool/Rayon felt. Warm and Natural Batting.

During the second half of the class participants will need a sewing machine and we will quilt the flower. And do a little thread painting, free motion machine embroidery and use other watercolor media to add shading where needed.

  • Supplies

    • Machine Quilting Thread - Everyone will use the same pink paints. How much you dilute the paint determines the color you will get, so bring every pink thread you have from light too dark, plus a yellow and a spool of medium dark brown. I will bring my pink thread to add o the mix. If you are a fast machine quilter you can also bring a couple of spools of green thread for the stems and leaves and some off white for the background quilting.
    • Backing Fabric - Fat quarter of whatever you want to use on the back of your piece.

    • 505 Spray adhesives - (no other brand of spray baste allowed in my classes. Or pins to pin baste before quilting.
